DAY 1: KILIMANJARO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT – ARUSHA
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to a hotel in Arusha for dinner and overnight.
DAY 2 ARUSHA TO NGORONGORO CRATER TO NAINOKANOKA VILLAGE
Early after breakfast pick up from the lodge you depart with your driver/guide to Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend down the crater for game drive, in the afternoon drive to Nainokanoka where you will camp, you will have an evening walking to Olmoti crater and Munge waterfalls accompanied by an armed ranger and a Maasai guide. Before dark get back to the campsite for dinner and overnight.
DAY 3: NAINOKANOKA TO KAMNANA VILLAGE TO EMBULBUL DEPRESSION
After breakfast take picnic lunch with you, today your walking safari beginswith a full day hike. Depart the camp through Kamnana village where you will wander through its Embulbul depression following the Maasai cattle trails, passing through the forest and grasslands, later in the evening back to Kamnana Camp site which is located in the bush some distance away from the village for dinner and overnight.
DAY 4: KAMNANA VILLAGE TO EMPAKAI CRATER
After an early breakfast it’s another walking day the path leads through the open grasslands, bush land and forest. Gaining height gradually you will approach the rim of Empakai Crater our home place camp for night. Buffalo, reedbuck, waterbuck and different species of birds can be easily observed during a walk around the volcanic lake and expect to be very close to them till late evening we’ll be back to campsite for dinner and overnight.
DAY 5: EMPAKAI CRATER
After breakfast you will go for a full day hike, from the camp you will first circle the Empakai crater rim and then descend down the crater floor. It will be an exciting day as you will get a close sight of the flamingos and buffalos as you hike. In the evening back to camp for dinner and overnight.
DAY 6: Empakai Crater to Naiyobi village
Depart after breakfast follow the path down the crater highlands, via many Maasai villages such asNaiyobi village to acacia camp the campsite is just at the edge of the village where we’ll stay for dinner and overnight.
DAY 7: ACACIA TO OLDONYO LENGAI
Trek to Lake Natron after an early breakfast. At the middle of the way you will be picked up by driver guide and transferred to your campsite for dinner. At midnight you will be transferred to the bottom of OldonyoLengai where you will start the hike to the summit.
DAY 8: OLDONYO LENGAI SUMMIT
Enjoy the beautiful sunrise at the summit of the OldonyoLengai and descend down to the camp for lunch. Spend the afternoonat leisure around the camp.In the evening walk to the waterfalls, a bath in the clean river water will be very refreshing, dinner and overnight at Lake Natron Campsite.
DAY 9: LAKE NATRON TO LAKE MANYARA NATIONALPARK
Leave early morning, drive to Lake Natron to see the Flamingos and their breeding site. Drive back to the camp for breakfast. After loading the vehicle drive to Lake Manyara National Park for evening game drive, dinner and overnight at Twiga Campsite.
DAY 10: LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast drive to Tarangire National Park with lunch boxes for a full day game drive, dinner and overnight at Tarangire camp.
DAY 11: TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK TO ARUSHA
After breakfast another game drive view in Tarangire until lunch time. After lunch pack up camp and drive back to Arusha for dinner and overnight.
